When God, in His omniscient and unquestionable wisdom, decided to add a Post-Modern Testament to His Holy Book, chaos erupted amongst even the most devout of His believers.

For you see, an earlier Commandment had been changed. God’s Post-Modern Testament demonstrated a change of mind just like the Lord had done in the past.

God, who works in mysterious ways, had mandated that man was to lie with man, and woman was to lie with woman. Holy Matrimony is now only between those of the same sex.

To procreate was no longer his divine will, and procreation forbidden.

And how the turn tables, for that changed everything. It became of dire importance to his people, cursed from having eaten the fruit of knowledge from the Tree of Good and Evil. To those with any of their wits about them understood that this was all but a death sentence to those that had been made in God’s image.

There were the Devoutly Pious. God’s Word, as they say, is a Commandment. As they had been the Lord’s devout believers throughout the Old and New Testament, who were they to question the Lord’s Will?

And these true believers, that understood God worked in mysterious ways, changed their ways despite all the instincts that bade them otherwise, for to have a relationship between Man and Woman is now a sin. Temptation opened the door to eternal suffering.

But there were also Fundamental Creationists, that rejected the Post-Modern Testament. They did not believe that God had any reason to have any further interaction with the world after the Old and New Testaments. They reasoned, perfectly rationally, that a perfect deity would only ever need to restate or change their will and intent several times, and would have perfected their rules for All That Is long before any modern Man was born.

Fundamental Creationists believed that this God who commanded Man to disobey the natural order was a false God; perhaps even the Light Bringer, First to Rebel. That the Deceiver had brokered another deal with God and now tests Thee as Job was once tested.

For the Devoutly Pious believed the Word of God rejected the notion that the demise of Man mattered at all. Invariably, Heaven awaits for the devout, they reasoned.

To have children, natural as it may seem, was no longer God’s Will. Wedded couples that were Devoutly Pious divorced accordingly, and Husband found Husband as Wife found Wife. What once disgusted the Devoutly Pious was now the greatest symbol of Love, for God knows best. For if God decreed that Husband was to love Husband as he had once loved his Wife, then which believer could claim they knew better than God?

To question God’s Will is nothing short of Blasphemy.

Curiously, the Fundamental Creationists increasingly relied upon a tool they had once been disgusted by: Science. They argued that God would never give such a Commandment; they believed they knew better. Why, they asked, would an omniscient God create Man such that children could only beget from Man and Woman?

No, the Fundamental Creationists declared, for if one were to study sufficient Biology, one would understand the Lord’s Intelligent Design. The Species is to live, the Fundamental Creationists stated, by virtue of Man lying with Woman, as it has always been.

To ignore instinct, to ignore how you were made — that was True Sin, concluded the Fundamental Creationists. Temptation exists to remind you of your true Nature, granted to you by the Lord. Believe not in the Falsehoods of the Light Bringer, for He is the Deceiver.

And Chaos reigned between those that had once suffered and those that had once benefited under the Old and New Testament, further solidifying the belief that the Devil was afoot.

Thus ended the Beginnings of the Post-Modern Testament.
